Product Review: Mi & Stu

I recently had the opportunity to sample some gluten-free treats from Mi & Stu. If you reside outside of Quebec, you may not be familiar with this cool little bakery. I think it's time for that to change, don't you? Mi & Stu is located in LaSalle, Quebec and run by the lovely Mimi and Stephanie. You can find their products in select grocery stores, restaurants and on major International Airlines such as Air France, Lufthansa, KLM, Qatar. It's comforting to know that safe gluten-free food is available when traveling by air.

Mi & Stu is more than just gluten-free. They also avoid using nuts, casein, and whey in their products. This allows those with one or more dietary restrictions to enjoy the products.

Their commercial capabilities set them apart from the average gluten-free shop. With a consultation, Mi & Stu can create custom allergen-free items specific to your needs. Amazing, right?!

I  sampled a gluten-free brownie and it was marvelous. Rich, chocolaty and just the right amount of sweet, without going overboard. The portion is enough for one person, maybe two if you're the generous type. In all honesty, you probably won't want to share and that's okay sometimes!

The  packaging is just as important as it is cute because it serves as a barrier to prevent cross contamination. The brownie can be heated and served with the cling film still intact. Thus preventing any chance of cross contamination mix up. Super important in a restaurant or airline situation.

I jazzed up my brownie with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream. Sweet treats like this are a happy reminder that gluten-free is no longer delicious free!
